Beyond Inspiration: Building Arts + Wellness Opportunities in the Lehigh Valley

This 1-hour session offers an accessible, inspiring, and practical overview of how the arts support health and wellness across multiple levels. Drawing on Dr. Tasha Golden’s research and experience leading national arts-and-health initiatives, the session will deepen participants’ understanding of art’s health impacts, and expand their vision of what’s possible at the intersections of arts and wellness. Attendees will leave with clear insights and actionable strategies to strengthen their work, build meaningful partnerships, and advance both individual and community wellbeing.

Arts on Prescription: A Field Guide for US Communities offers a roadmap for creating programs that formally integrate arts, culture, and nature resources into local healthcare systems and social services. Arts on Prescription programs allow providers to “prescribe” arts activities, cultural experiences, and time in nature to support their patients’ or clients’ health, wellbeing, and quality of life. The groundbreaking resource is free to download, and was created in partnership with Mass Cultural Council and University of Florida Center for Arts in Medicine.

Tasha Golden, PhD is a touring artist turned behavioral scientist who speaks and consults globally on creativity, wellbeing, and change.

This event is free and open to the public. Generous support for this event has been provided by Zoellner Arts Center, whose Arts and Wellness Events center the transformative healing power of music.
