COVID Emergency Relief Funds & LVACA Surveys

LVACA Covid surveys raised relief funds for distribution to the arts and cultural community through the Community Foundation of the Lehigh Valley. Beginning in early 2020 LVACA develop a survey of the artists and arts organizations in the Lehigh Valley that identified the challenges created by the pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns.

LVACA conducted two surveys that looked at the effects of COVID-19 on:

  • Income
  • Education
  • Food accessibility
  • Health care
  • Organizational Sustainability

The results of these surveys were used to determine how donors could respond to the crises in the arts and cultural community and how the community could best advocate for the arts. A third survey on the current status of the arts as Covid-19 becomes an endemic as opposed to a pandemic is being developed. It will present both quantitative as well as qualitative analysis.
